We sent it down on the Night of Glory.* What will explain to you what the Night of Glory is? God/Creator is Genderless, formless, Unique and indivisible. The use of pronouns are simply a limitation of the human language.
It is said the Quran is brought by "Ruh al-Qudus" (arabic) (Ruach Hakodesh) Hebrew translated as "Holy Spirit" but among muslims, generally understood to be Angel Gabriel.
